Cowl in Charcoal

Fall is on its way and I am trying to find every reason I can to be excited about it. I really do love fall the crisp air, the campus exploding with the color of the leafs but I know when I look at those leafs they are going to be gone soon and then it is a long, cold road until everything is green again.
I am not saying that this cowl by jezebel would fix everything but it looks so cozy and warm I would welcome a day when I would need it to keep the chill off.

More Etsy love, PrinceDesignUK

How cute would these be hanging on the wall in some loft with wood floors and huge windows?

More etsy love, Yokoo

Maybe it is just the freezing cold weather but I have found myself looking at snuggly stuff on etsy lately and dreaming about how warm it would be. I really like Yokoo's Prembroke Cowl.

i LOVE this idea

Camera strap covers! I hate wearing my camera strap, mainly because it hurts! Its scratchy and uncomfortable. Shealynn did something about it and started making these which turns your camera strap from blah to stylish.

It is one of those things where I though.... UH why didnt I think of that?

A fresh new look, for some fresh tees

TealTown's newest model, Annie, was kind enough to let me take a bunch of pictures of her today even though it was way to hot outside to take pictures and we were all feeling nasty before we even started. And then to top it off none of us had any cash for after photoshoot Coop's Snow Cones. I think the pictures turned out pretty sweet. And the shop is well on it way to being close to looking how I want it to.

Make Over

Today I sent out a survey to Tealtown's biggest fans, our family! I asked if they preferred our shop photos to be outside with some fancy background, or just a white wall with the focus on our t-shirts. Not only did all of them get back to me super fast, they all unanimously agreed that the fancy outside ones make for a more interesting shop.

So I guess what I will be doing this weekend.

Thank you to everyone who responded! I really didn't know which way to go and your opinions really helped.

Our first big idea

Mark and I got another order for some chandelier curtains a couple weeks ago and we have yet to send them out. There are a couple reasons for this

1. Every place we have gone to find white curtains has been sold out of white curtains and only white curtains. Who knew that white curtains were so popular? We sure didn't when we came up with this awesome idea of screen printing curtains. But be warned white and natural colored curtains are no where to be found when you need them.

2. Getting that huge chandelier printed on anything is a big, big pain in the butt. So much so that the red pair of curtains I bought specifically to print the chandelier on is hanging in our front room chandelierless. They look O.K. right now, but I do have to admit they would look awesome if with a big white chandelier silhouette on them. I like things to look awesome, but what we would have to do to make them look awesome sucks so much I have neglected to make my living room look awesome.

So. Yesterday we finally found white curtains. Today we are going to print them. I am going to be stressed out through the whole process, but I am going to suppress it because Mark will have completely lost his mind the second he sees the white curtains stretched out and ironed waiting to have him smear black paint expertly all over them. BUT DONT MESS IT UP! And yes he is going to be the one doing the smearing cause I can't handle that kind of stress so I am going turn on some George Michael and pretend like, heey time to party! A screen printing party! Yay! After all that I will heat set them and we will mail them out proud to be sending out another awesome looking pair of TealTown curtains and continue ignoring the painfully blank red curtains we have to walk by to head out to the post office.

A Day Off

I did nothing today. By that I mean I did nothing I should have done and a bunch that I have wanted to do for a while. Mark and I slept in. We cleaned the house, which has been neglected for some time. Living in a dirty house makes me feel crazy, even when I am not home because I can always hear it calling to me. I have not had time to do much cleaning, or blog posting, so it was nice to be able to do that today. Annnnd..... are you ready for this?

WE PICKED OUT OUR WEDDING PICTURES!

I think it helped that we waited so long, but it was still really hard deciding between images. I can't wait to see what Jen is going to do with the albums.

I also finally got around to making a promotional something for TealTown. Back when I made our business cards I wanted to make something but I had a lack of inspiration so I let it wait hoping that a great idea would fall in to my lap. Then I found this site a couple days ago ala Jennifer Pebbles. It is full of great idea's for scrap booking, card making, all kinds of fun projects. It is also a great place to get idea's for fun and fancy layouts.

Here is a sneak peak....

Coffee Stained

While Donna was here on Saturday we stopped by the little antique shop Uptown, as she was getting ready to check out I noticed that they had type writer key bracelets. I have wanted one for a while but haven't seen them anywhere but the internet where they were over priced.

I could try these on, but they too were over priced. I left it on the counter where I found it. Maybe everyone else will think they are over priced too and I can buy one when she cuts the price.... and I have a job.

I did find this one on Etsy, which I think is much more reasonably priced, I still don't have that job though so I guess I will have to let this one go as well.
