Fall is on its way and I am trying to find every reason I can to be excited about it. I really do love fall the crisp air, the campus exploding with the color of the leafs but I know when I look at those leafs they are going to be gone soon and then it is a long, cold road until everything is green again.
I am not saying that this cowl by jezebel would fix everything but it looks so cozy and warm I would welcome a day when I would need it to keep the chill off.

I hate saying goodbye to Summer so I am going to say hello to all of my favorite fall things like caramel apples, the smell of burning leaves, sweaters, jackets and boots.

Redesign 09

Now that Teal Town is a little over two years old I figured it was time for her to start looking at little bit more mature.

I have never come so close to buying something as soon as I saw it as I did tonight.

You know what is weird about art?

Lots of things.

One of the really weird things is that art is considered "universal", however, everyone has those pieces that they connect with completely and have to resist the urge to sleep with it every night. But the guy next to them could hate it or only offer it a shrug. While I love this piece by Andrew Bannecker you may hate it or find it "eh, ok". So is art "universal" or not? Why do we like what we like and how do we build our definition of art? No one defines it in the same way.
I saw this and I couldn't decided if I wanted to be her or just hang out with her. She reminds me of Tiger Lilly (I always thought she was way better than Wendy).

Anyway, just wanted to share with you what I fell in love with today. I probably wont love it in a couple days.... its a funny thing, art.

Work a day-day

I got a new job uptown in a little store that sells stylish clothing and vegan friendly make up. Perfect! I have worked everyday this week but one and I am loving it! They also sell cool picture frames that they have set up all over the store. I told them that I would be happy to take some photos of the store so they could replace the cheesy photos that come with the frame. I took my camera the past two times I have worked and had a couple chances snap some

This is the display case I got to set up on my second day. I feel like this picture makes it look kinda hectic but I think that is because of the weird stuff I had to do to make the photo panoramic.

On a side note I used rollip.com to create the awesome vintage look and floating boarder. I love rollip.com.

Friends and neighbors

We decided to start riding bikes to class for exercise and for fun. Bikes are so fun. Jim let me borrow his to train for the Maumee Valley Tri-Adventure I am going to do next spring with my aunt and maybe Mom. Mark decided he wanted to join in as well. So we called the only people we know who know anything about bikes, Mike's parents. We asked if they had an old bike we could buy off them that would be good for us. Their response was you can have this one. It is Nancy's old bike that is specifically built for women. Mark and I have been taking them out any time we can. They are perfect for UDF milk shake runs and Frisbee golf trips.

I have only had her for two days and I know two things....
1. I love the Franks for donating it to the help Sam be healthy cause, and am glad she has a second chance to be on the road again.
2. I am going to have to get some of those shorts with the extra padding in all the right places.

Some things I have leared from my first day in South Carolina

I love....
Rocking chairs
King size beds
French doors in your bed room that open up to a beautiful moss covered tree
Porches attached to your bed room with ceiling fans
Being able to get everywhere you need to go on a bike

And one of these days we are going to live here.
