It's a good thing Mom and the girls came up on Saturday to celebrate the Memorial Day weekend the weather was perfect and we pretty much had the park all to ourselves. The weather is kinda crappy today and I bet people are fighting over that one table in the gazebo.

I Want To Believe
Donna and Jim took us out to see the new Indiana Jones Movie yesterday. As we were walking out of the theater I noticed this poster.
They're back! I have seen the boot legged preview, but now they have an official site and an official trailer posted at xfiles.com. I am hoping this one will be better than the last movie. The only season Mark and I haven't watch is Season 8, but that is the season where there is no Mulder. I don't think I can handle X-Files with no Mulder. I guess I am going to have to before July 25th.

Yay Adam!!!
Last weekend Mark's brother graduated cum laude from law school. We spent the weekend in Cleveland with them to celebrate. I didn't realize until we got to the graduation luncheon what a huge deal it was. Adam made his three years at law school look easy and when you are used to someone constantly impressing you it is easy to glide through those big days like graduation because you always knew that you would be there watching them walk across the stage.
As I was eating lunch, while I was watching his family settle around him to take pictures, and when his graduating class walked in and everyone stood and cheered I found myself trying to hide a couple tears that made their way up. This was such a huge day. He accomplished something truly amazing that took an tremendous amount of dedication, patience and bravery. Mark and I are so happy for him and we are very excited to see what comes next.

BEST THING I HAVE EVER HAD!

Tyler got a 24oz bucket of this stuff for helping out some of his rich friends. I don't think he liked it to much, Mike didnt really care for it, and Mark said he didn't understand it. I on the other hand think it might be my new most favorite thing. You can get it at peterbrook.com
soo yummy.

The Visitor
After a long period of not being able to think of anything to take a picture of that I felt was worth it I thought of this today.

Let It Be

After an operation I got the shutter actually working. It's not 100%, I have to firmly tap the camera on my palm before I take any picture just to make sure that it will open. I took a roll of film and took it to Kroger to get the film processed. I tried to figure out what I got by looking at the film, but I have no idea how color film works so when I scanned this in the other night I was a little surprised. Lomos are popular because of the distortions it gives images, but this was way beyond anything I had seen before.
After a talk with my professor I have decided to roll with this. After all I wanted the pictures to be up to chance. I seriously have no idea how any picture is going to look when I am taking it. I guess we'll see if I can let myself go enough to actually use this. Maybe I should do a couple pages out of my Wreck This Journal to give me some confidence.

We have a visitor this weekend.

He doesn't like it here much. I wont let him do any of the fun stuff like go in the neighbors yard, or roll around in the flowers, or roll around in the neighbors flowers.

How can you not love this?!

I love Oxford in the Morning.
I wont. I have always said I would do it, but I wont. I hate getting up in the morning, it always sounds good the night before but when that alarm goes off it is the worst thing ever. I have two more projects to fire before the end of the semester, maybe I will have one more day of getting up at 8am. Other than the danger of my pieces exploding I am not sure there is much else that can get me out of bed that early.

A Day Off
WE PICKED OUT OUR WEDDING PICTURES!
I think it helped that we waited so long, but it was still really hard deciding between images. I can't wait to see what Jen is going to do with the albums.
I also finally got around to making a promotional something for TealTown. Back when I made our business cards I wanted to make something but I had a lack of inspiration so I let it wait hoping that a great idea would fall in to my lap. Then I found this site a couple days ago ala Jennifer Pebbles. It is full of great idea's for scrap booking, card making, all kinds of fun projects. It is also a great place to get idea's for fun and fancy layouts.
Here is a sneak peak....

M.E.M

Go check out Marry Ellen Matthews. She is pretty amazing.
With our collective forces we form a vortex of creativity.
Easter Sunday we had another brilliant idea.
Rip out the fabric and cover the insides with something pretty. This is the one we did on Sunday using Donna's collection of beautiful card stock. The other ones Mark and I did at home were covered in Comic books, maps, and old Playboy adds. All of them looked amazing by themselves, and with our shirts tumbling out of them.
Unfortunately when we got to the show we soon realized that we were not going to be able to use them how we wanted. The wind was too strong and kept snapping them shut. The only one that worked was the broken one. They did create a lovely wind barrier though. For the most part they kept our shirts on the tables.
It didn't turn out exactly how we had expected, but they did look great and were a big help. Plus it was a lot of fun pasting everything to them.
