Welcome to summer

Mark and I had a great Memorial Day weekend. It included two cook outs, ice cream everyday, good music, roller coasters and family.

My grandma, cousins, aunts and uncle came down to Cinci to spend the weekend with us. Saturday we had a big cook out and Donna, Jim, Alexis, Jane and Chris also came over to partake in the best potato salad ever. I love having so many people I love in one place. Nothing makes me happier and spending time with them was the perfect kick off to summer.

Now it is back to summer classes. No fun. But at least the weather is warm now and the earth has turned green again. Summer is here and its going to be a great one!

My 5 Minutes

Yesterday I got a call from Jim asking me if I knew that I was in the Cincinnati Enquirer?

No I did not.

They had done a press release for the Multiple Strategies show and the image they chose to print along with it was mine. It was a week late since we just took down the show, but hey its still pretty cool.

Victory Garden

We finally got around to planting out garden. We planted red and yellow tomatoes, cucumbers, cantaloupe, broccoli, peppers and watermelon. I CAN NOT wait until everything starts growing. And I also love that I know where my food has been and that there was no pesticides sprayed all over it.

I kinda wish we had made it bigger. But I think this is a good starter garden.

My mom go a new bike, Donna went to see Star Trek and Kamal's mom got an Escalade.

It think Donna won. We went out to see it with her again and it was just as good the second time around. Hope all the Moms out there had a great day!

Today

Did I tell you that I sold two prints from the Multiple Strategies show? I did and tomorrow we have to go take the show down so money for one of the prints came in the mail yesterday. Woo! Which means I was finally able to get my car fixed, there was something wrong with one of the screws in the wheel. I dont really know. So while it was in the shop today Mark and I decided to walk up to Koffena and get a refreshment. Then we thought we would head down to check out Wildberry, the Juniper and by then we were hungry so we went to Skippers for some gyros(Ummm delicious by the way). And while we were eating I got a message from my friend that her print was in the photolab so I could go get it, and a call letting me know that my car was ready. So we thought we would walk down slant walk over to the art building and then up Spring to the car shop. And my questions is why cant it be like this all year. Miami is so beautiful when everything is green and in bloom and people are so much happier.

Photo Ohana

It is over. I have no more photo classes left to take and all my photo friends are graduating while I am stuck here finishing up studio credits. I wish I was walking across the stage with them this Sunday. But I am not and neither is my other friend Sam so we're going to go watch and be emotional. We had our last Ohana party at Jon's house last night. Since it was probably the last time we are all going to be together we took one last group shot.

Babysitting

Haven't babysat in a while. But I agreed to watch my professors kids last night while and his wife(also a professor) went to some kind of professor party. This is Luke and I love him.

This is Lydia and I love her too.

We spent some time playing WiiFit. Then walked down to a local restaurant to get dinosaur chicken nuggets and a hamburger. Walked home with ice cream. We then played with moon sand, rode bikes and ended the night on the sofa watching the new TinkerBell movie.
