Bad Juju MaGumbo

Last week we went out on a winter hike with some friends and I ended up falling on my butt five minutes in. It didn't hurt too bad when it happened but I knew I was going to be sore for a couple of days. It hurts when I sit, it hurts when I stand up and sit down. I thought this would end, at the latest, in a week.

Turns out I have a bruised tail bone which is one of the most painful things to bruise on your body and it can take up to eight weeks to heal..... do you ever feel like someone has a voodoo doll of you?

Spent most of the day in bed.

We are realizing that Savannah maybe closer than we thought and out entrepreneurial brains have spinning with all kinds of magical ideas these past few days.

Valentines Day Test Run

We got out of Oxford for a bit on Saturday and did a run through of relaxing, silly day with yummy food for the next day.

We stopped at a Stakery and Crepes Restaurant with a gold mine of kitchy art on the walls. I wanted to take pictures but it was so dark I needed to use the table to steady my camera and I couldnt find a good shot with my lazy woman's tri-pod. As you can tell from this next image Mark was in major need of some food by the time we got there.

After that we decided to drive down to our favorite Goodwill and brows and found this chair for $12!

How awesome is that?! I love the flower details. Right now I am working on getting it painted white then I will teach myself how to reupholster something. Before I started painting it I snapped this to remember today by....

Saturday Evening In Oxford

Today is a lazy day for us. Mark is finally catching up on some sleep he has been needing and I am sneaking around working on his Valentines present since that is tomorrow! Ahhh! I love Valentine's day. I love all the red and pink hearts everywhere. Celebrating v-day in south west ohio usually means we are snowed in so Mark and I never plan anything to big just cute little things.

On top of all the snow it has been freezing here and I realized that I look like a blanket monster walking around the house this morning.

All You Need Is Love

Mark and I found a bin of old Marquee letters for super cheap while we were visiting his grandmother in Texas. As we looked around to see if anyone else was spying our treasure we paid for it as fast as we could and carried all of them home on the plain ride back to Cinci.

A Couple of My Favorite Thrifts!

There is an amazing antique store on the other side of the hill and every time we go in I walk out with something amazing for under $20. Last time I found this tiny etching from Brugge. When I bought it the frame was a dirty wood color. It is amazing what a simple coat o' white paint can do for everything.

Mark found this beautiful painting at the Sringdale Good Will (our favorite)

I think we paid 25 cents for the painting and the old frame it came in. When we got it home Mark pulled the nails out of the frame and this canvas is now hanging at the bedside.
